Two original woodcut prints** have been created in this dark green ink.  Each is unique in the amount of ink coverage: 1/2 is darker overall, with thick ink pushing beyond some of the image edges and 2/2 is lighter overall, with a more mottled appearance in some areas.  The images are in order from 1/2 to 2/2, and the last image is of the carved plate used in the printmaking process (not for sale).

** Woodcut prints are created by carving an image into a wooden/MDF plate, then rolling ink over the plate and transferring the image onto heavy paper using a printing press.  The result is an original piece of artwork that has the modern appeal of a screen-printed piece but with a more uniquely embossed texture.  Some prints can look more like oil paintings depending on the printing and inking techniques used.  To learn more about the printmaking process, check out our XXXX page.
